Gold Panners,
The more the day went on, the longer this post became. I hope you will find it interesting enough to stick with it. Let me know your thoughts on the subject either by Substack or to Republic4eldoradostate@gmail.com
Before we can complete our constitution, we must agree on what form of government we want. Do we want a Republic or a Democracy, Capitalism or Communism? To put the word ‘Representative’ in front of Republic or Democracy seems redundant to me and I believe is put there to gain acceptance by the People to make either or both appear more sovereign and therefore more acceptable to the People and is therefore deceptive. These days we are repeatedly told we have to, “Save our Democracy”. Capitalists and Communists have no such illusions. My cry is, “Bring back our Republic”. I’d like to know what your stand is and that’s the reason for this post.
When we don’t have a clear understanding of what form of government we have or want to have, we will eventually lose it because we won’t use the tools the Founders left us to fight for it and will succumb to apathy. This describes where we are today. We let our Republic gradually turn into a Democracy and now IF we want that Republic back, we’re going to have to Fight, Fight, Fight, for it by Standing and Taking it Back!
Following are three videos for your listening consideration that hopefully will give each of us more material on the subject to open our collective brain waves. Our end goal is to make a more perfect State within the union of States of America that also not only conforms to the letter of a ‘Republican Form of Government’ (Article 4, Section 4) but also to the spirit. In doing so, we need to be clear on WHY our founders formed a Republic and not a Democracy or Communism or Dictatorship or Theocracy or a replica of what they left in England, etc.; of which the latter four are the least difficult and the least desirable to form, in my opinion. Of the former two, Democracies last about 250 years and Republics, when kept limited and local, can last for as much as 1,000 years. When we don’t understand the WHY of being a Republic, we won’t keep it, and we haven’t. Now we live under the tyranny of thousands and thousands of restrictive laws and regulations from Sacramento, the Capitol of greed and control.
And this, dear Gold Panners is the WHY we want to Leave California, which since 1879, has been a Democracy. California broke its Contract with Congress when during the re-make of the California constitution in 1879, it did not increase the number of representatives for the People in keeping with small/local representative districts….a Republic. Consequently, the mob and one-party rule disguised as two parties have taken California over, leaving the People to be ruled by multitudes of laws and regulations that are intolerable, just as in 1776!

Believe it or not, China is a Democracy because Democracies come in many forms. Republics come in other forms also but doesn’t seem to me to be as many as Democracies.
In looking up what Democracy means to other countries, I chose two views that come from the Asian perspective that appear to be uncensored and candid, but first a definition of China’s Democracy:
So, what is Democracy to China? Wikipedia’s answer: “China is not a liberal or representative democracy. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Chinese government state that China is a socialist democracy and a people's democratic dictatorship. The constitution of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the CCP constitution state that its form of government is "people's democratic dictatorship".[4] The state constitution also holds that China is a one-party state that is governed by the CCP. This gives the CCP a total monopoly of political power. All political opposition is illegal. Currently, there are eight minor political parties in China other than the CCP that are legal, but all have to accept CCP primacy to exist.[9] Freedom of speech and freedom of assembly are severely restricted by the government.[10][11] Censorship is widespread, and dissent is harshly punished in the country.”

Unfortunately, communities, regardless of size, need some form of societal rules called ‘government’. Our constitution will start with the Golden Rule and conform as best possible to our existing county government, minus California’s taxes, laws and regulations, while meeting statehood requirements. My hope is that you will better understand WHY and HOW we of the Republic for El Dorado State want a state constitution that upholds our Republic ideals and with that clarity of understanding you also will be demanding our return to our legacy. Will YOU stand with us and demand our collective Rights?
Are YOU ready to strive for and be willing to work for our more perfect union of our five districts as a Republic, and to be a good neighbor to the other 50 states?
Leave California NOT El Dorado.
WE can do this! The Founders gave us the tools! Do WE have the will?
