Gold Panners,
Today, May 24th is our First Anniversary of going public.
Attached is a video from an interview of me at my home done shortly after our first Town Hall in the town of El Dorado on May 24, 2023. Amazingly, we’re still active and growing. I thought you might like to see it again, even though it doesn’t do my vanity any good to show the world how old I am.
We got an amazing amount of publicity from the original article in the Mountain Democrat which then got picked up by CBS Channel 13, LA Times, Epoch Times, iHeart Radio, SF Gate, Sacramento Bee Sunday edition, etc. I heard it was even in the NY Post. This was all a surprise because it wasn’t solicited. I went into the Mountain Democrat simply to post our Town Hall, one of their reporters showed up, and it went from there.
We’ve come a long way in this first year of trial and error, finding our direction and even marveling that we’re still active. Among our accomplishments, we set up our presence on Substack, a bank account at Sierra Central Credit Union, held more Town Halls, various Pop-up Tent meet and greets, Gun Shows, etc. and now we’re working on our State Constitution. Next month we’ll have a display at the El Dorado Fair in the Forni Building (we could use some additional supporters to help in the booth). We’ll also be at Fun Day in Garden Valley on June 4th and at some events/parades on July 4th. If your town has a July 4th parade, get one of our signs to ride or walk with and hand out our Flyers.
We have supporters in all 5 Districts of the county and get more encouraged every time we do outreach handing out Flyers or doing events. The People of El Dorado County are fed up with California, would like to be a State and “Leave California, NOT El Dorado”.
We’ve also become more convinced that making a State of One County is the best way to go. It can be done if we believe in ourselves as a community, take our Stand, and make our Voices heard! Think of how much this country would change for the better and be what the Founders envisioned when they formed our government to protect the sovereignty of The People by bringing local government to The People as a Republic in small districts, which is really what Article 1, Section 2 and Article 4, Section 4 are all about in concept. If a majority of the 3,143 counties (by any name) in America were transformed to individual States, most of our problems with the governments we have today would disappear because The People would be back in their rightful place of holding the power instead of the government. It’s called, Liberty and Freedom.
Our El Dorado State Constitution will be the vanguard for our Republic. A Republic is dependent upon transparent locally elected representatives. Our constitution will be the guard that keeps the power with The People and not with the people who run the government.
What can YOU do to help move this along? One thing everyone can easily do, is pass the word to your friends and local businesses to become supporters on Substack.com……..EldoradoState.Substack.com. This will give us the standing we need to show our numbers are growing. The first question all journalists and politicians ask is, “what are your numbers?” Come to the Planning Meetings, every month on the 3rd Thursday, 5pm at The Breakroom in Shingle Springs. If meetings aren’t your ‘thing’, come to get Flyers and a T-shirt and leave a donation. You may also donate on Substack or at Sierra Central Credit Union in Placerville.
Here is the video. If an ad blocker notice appears, click on the “later” in the fine print. It’s short and to the point, so enjoy:
Sharon
PS, Let me know if you’ll work a 2 hour shift at the Fair, June 13 - 16, by emailing to Republic4eldoradostate@gmail.com
PPS, This coming Monday is Memorial Day which is dedicated to reminding ourselves, as One Nation Under God, to remember the fallen who gave their all for our American way of life and to preserve our Freedoms. Also, you may think about the fact that none of the military graves here, in Arlington, or abroad, have an R or a D on their head markers. We are all Americans regardless of how we vote, and this would be a good time to remember and think about those who died so we can continue to vote.
